What is a Lossless Token (LT)?
LT is our single accounting unit for every paid third-party call the platform makes on your behalf — LLM completions, embeddings, voice, image generation, vector queries, transcriptions. One LT roughly corresponds to one average operation. Your tier comes with a monthly LT budget; you can buy more anytime, and top-off tokens never expire.
Is there a free trial of Pro?
Yes — 14 days, no card required. You can keep all your data if you drop back to Free; you’ll just lose history older than 30 days and be capped to 20 records lifetime.
How do Starter, Standard, and Pro differ?
Starter is daily sync, Haiku for chat, 2,000 LT/month — enough for casual use. Standard quintuples the AI budget to 10,000 LT/month and bumps storage and the context window — right when you start using the agent every day. Pro adds on-demand sync (“Sync now” for any source), Claude Sonnet, voice cloning, the write API, and 40,000 LT/month — the prosumer tier.
What’s the difference between Business Solo and Business?
Business Solo is the $295/mo solo-professional tier: 1 member, up to 3 client workspaces, 80,000 LT/month, full firm features (working papers, snapshots, templates, transparency dashboards, time tracking, outbound delivery). Business is the firm tier: up to 5 members, up to 25 client workspaces, unlimited inbound shares, 200,000 LT/month shared across the firm, plus conflict-of-interest detection, cross-client meta-views, bulk operations across clients, and a dedicated CSM. Member overage is $100/seat/month; client overage is $20/client/month.
Who is Business for?
CPAs, family-law and litigation firms, property managers, financial advisors, executive assistants, and agencies — any professional whose value is managing data on behalf of multiple principals. If you receive more than one workspace share from clients, you need Business (or Business Solo for up to 3).
I’m on the old $2,000 Max plan. What happens?
You stay on Max with the same features and price until your next renewal date. At renewal we’ll offer you a migration to either Pro ($200/mo) or Business ($950/mo) depending on which fits your use better. Nothing changes silently; you’ll get an email 30 days before renewal with the migration options.
What happens if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted unless you ask. Lower-tier limits apply going forward; the older data stays accessible up to the new tier’s history depth. If you downgrade out of Business while holding more than 1 inbound workspace share, those shares enter a 30-day read-only grace period with daily reminder emails — never silent revocation.
What happens when I run out of Lossless Tokens?
You’ll get email warnings at 80% / 95% / 100% of your monthly budget plus an in-app chip in the footer (amber at 10% remaining, red at $0). At $0 a modal pops on your next AI request — you can keep working with a $10 goodwill overdraft, after which a hard block requires a top-off or upgrade. Auto top-off is opt-in only.
If I upload my whole archive on day 1, will it all get indexed for RAG?
Storage caps hold raw files (5 GB on Free up to 2 TB on Business). The expensive part is RAG embedding — roughly 200 Lossless Tokens per GB of mixed PDF/doc content. Fully embedding the storage cap takes more than one month of LT on Starter, Standard, and Pro: ~10 months for Starter, ~5 for Standard, ~2.5 for Pro. So embeddings are processed incrementally as files are accessed — the first time you ask the agent about an unembedded file, it indexes that file (and related ones) on-demand. If you want a bulk-index pass, buy a top-off and we’ll process the queue in the background; you’ll see the progress in Settings → Storage.
Do the per-feature caps (bank statements, voice clones, etc.) cost extra?
No — they’re ceilings, not separate prices. Each operation draws from your monthly LT budget at its standard rate (~50 LT per bank statement parsed, ~500 LT per voice clone training, ~20 LT per receipt screenshot OCR’d, ~6 LT per Claude Haiku chat, ~22 LT per uncached Sonnet chat). If you hit the LT budget before the per-feature cap, that activity stops for the month; if you hit the per-feature cap first, that specific activity stops but you can keep using the rest. Whichever comes first.
Can I bring my own LLM API keys (Anthropic / OpenAI)?
Not at launch. We bake in Vertex-hosted Claude + Gemini so the product just works. For technical users on Business who want BYOK in exchange for a discount: ping us, we’ll set it up case-by-case.
Do you offer student or non-profit pricing?
Students get Pro at $40/mo with a verified .edu email. Registered non-profits get Pro at $50/mo. Email hello@lossless-ai.com.
Do you sell my data to train models?
No — and we’ve structured the company so we can’t. See Security for how that’s enforced.
Can I pay with crypto / wire / invoice?
Stripe (card, Apple/Google Pay, ACH for US). Annual invoices on Pro and Business on request. We don’t accept crypto right now.
